Modernizing a legacy ERP at FVD Brombacher
Problem
A Porsche‑parts distributor running a 20‑year‑old Visual FoxPro ERP. Paper labels, retyped order numbers, manual carrier portals. Shipping errors surfaced days later at the customer.
Approach
Rebuilt the ERP as a .NET 10 Blazor system with DDD + CQRS + MediatR. Built a .NET 8 fulfillment API integrating FedEx (multi‑account OAuth2), DHL, UPS, DPD with 3D bin‑packing. Digitized the warehouse with a .NET MAUI app driving Zebra scanners and ZPL printers.
Result
- One‑click dispatch — scan, print, tracked.
- Shipping errors caught at the station, not at the customer.
- Release cadence moved from ad‑hoc to weekly, with rollback.
